Nora Winsler (she/her) is an opera director and choreographer based in San Diego, California. Previously, while based on East Coast, Nora served as the Resident Assistant Director at the Virginia Opera for two seasons and The Atlanta Opera Glynn Studio Artist’s Stage Director for one. She has assisted leading directors at The Glimmerglass Festival, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Opera Columbus. She has directed and choreographed her own original productions at Virginia Opera, Opera North, Manhattan School of Music, among others.
Nora started out her work on the West Coast this past summer as the Intimacy Choreographer and Assistant Director on a new production of Fellow Travelers at Opera Parallèle.
This winter, Nora heads to The Dallas Opera to assist on and serve as Movement Director for a new production of Orfeo ed Euridice. She will then work as Associate Director for Tomer Zvulun’s production of La bohème.
